360 sonar, what is the difference between the Ultrex version and normal version? #12625156 02/13/18 12:39 PM

I have been researching 360...seems, brackets are different. Just wondering if the shaft length is different on the Ulterra version. I will be attempting to mount a 360 to a terranova with a 60 inch shaft.

One other item...I am wondering if I need to keep my si/Di transducer on the troller (or remove it?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There is no Ulterra version.
There is no Humminbird mount for a Terrova, Ulterra, or any other similar motor.

Yes I did, but it doesn't use the Ultrex or Fortrex mount, just the 360 pole inside the apparatus.

On the mount, you will tell the company you are ordering from the shaft length of the trolling motor and they will send you a mount made for that.. As Wayne stated, you will take the 360 shaft off of the original 360 mount and use just the shaft portion. It slides inside of the new mount's shaft.

You will need another transducer other than the 360 to get the depth and temp readings. That can be a US2 built in transducer if available, your SI transducer mounted on the trolling motor or a transducer on the transom as long as the units are linked together but that would be the least desirable route because the depth will be different at the back as opposed to the front of the boat. Your SI transducer on the TM will have no ill effects on the 360 as long as the cable is mounted where it will not interfere with the 360 mount while the TM rotates. If it is an older Terrova, it has a built in slot that can be used. If it is a newer model or an ulterra, you would have to adapt it in some way to keep it separated. I use a portion of a coiled air line that my transducer is taped to which gives it the length to extend into the water and retract on stowing. There are youtube videos of different options that people have come up with.
