Going to Martin Creek for the first time Sunday. Any advice would be helpful. Just fun fishing, no tourny!

Search this site. A while back someone published a "map" of Martin Creek with the boat lanes marked. I'm mp expert on the lake but it looked pretty accurate to me.

The lake is still a bit low. If you're wanting to get to the hot water side see if someone will let you follow them. Main thing to remember is don't run down the center of the lake. Run parallel to the dam to the southwest shoreline and you can run that side of the lake, go under the railroad bridge and keep running the southwest side to the hot water cut off. Then you will probably want to idle across the lake to the discharge side (which is stumpy too). Just after passing under the railroad bridge look for a hump about 200 yards out...you should be able to see it...don't run aground. Should be on your map. Some good bass fishing on the cold water side as well.

To whom much is given, much is required.
