Give me some advice, fishing Fork Saturday with 2 inexperienced junior high kids. Our last tournament we zeroed, and I mean zeroed, not even a bite at Sam Rayburn. I see rain on Friday and looks like a cold front, gonna drop about 10 degrees or so before we head out. These guys have been troopers and they fish hard but I have had a hard time getting them on fish.

Im fishing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and just noticed the front as well. From past experiences at Fork, the bite will be tough on Friday. But they can still be caught. Find the sheltered, warmer water and you should be fine. You may really have to slow down and milk an area though.

I would imagine there will be a lot of tight lips on this one as Bass Champs is 2 weeks out. RedSkeeter posted about watching a guy catch a lot of good slot fish up in Birch on another post. It's really hard to go wrong with Birch this time of year especially with the grass making the comeback it has.

I'll give you a buzz Sinkey. We are planning to do some scouting Saturday and maybe Sunday depending on the weather. I'm not mad enough at them to go pre-fish in 40 degree pouring rains.

Hey guy's, I'm visiting Fork for the first time ever this Friday - Monday. I was hoping for better weather but since I've already scheduled vacation time, I'm all in regardless of the weather. I live in Edmond, OK and have fished Falcon, Rayburn a few times but never Fork. Any tips or PM's would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance,

I made my first trip to Fork today. Not to fish, but to recon the area. I was in the area for about two hours. I didn't see a single boat on the water. I only saw one or two people even moving around. I didn't realize there were so many houses, trailers and cabins on the lake. It's no wonder to me people complain about the lake being over-fished.

Are there any particular boat ramp recommended over others? The one's I saw had very, very limited parking. I can imagine them filling up before daylight on a nice Spring morning.

Also, how bad do lines of boats get fishing the private docks?
