I made my first trip to Fork today. Not to fish, but to recon the area. I was in the area for about two hours. I didn't see a single boat on the water. I only saw one or two people even moving around. I didn't realize there were so many houses, trailers and cabins on the lake. It's no wonder to me people complain about the lake being over-fished.

Are there any particular boat ramp recommended over others? The one's I saw had very, very limited parking. I can imagine them filling up before daylight on a nice Spring morning.

Also, how bad do lines of boats get fishing the private docks?

I usually put in at Pope's Landing. Very good ramp and a decent amount of parking for $3.

Find grass, throw lipless baits over and around it, throw a drop shot and throw a senko type bait around the grass also.

That's exactly who I use every time I go.

I have a private boat ramp, but as for the Public ramps go I would say there are so many of them around the lake it really doesn't get all that bad.
