Looking to buy a 1995 Century 2280 tunnel hull. Boat and motor looks amazing and very good condition the owner says its wood free. Compression check was good. Does anyone know anything about these boats good or bad and if they have wood in them.

Just call Century and ask them about a 100% composite construction:
(813)-236-8879

Id say probably not. Just a few high end poling skiffs were doing it then.

But doesnt make it bad. Just check floor and decks for soft spots and tap around the transom with a plastic handle screw driver. You dont want to hear thud or dead sound.

Id lean Darrel. A shallow runner can go deep but a deep cant go shallow.
Nothing on that century looks like it wants to run into Pringle
