Just bought a boat that has two of them on it. For the guys that run an 1198c, what mapping card is the best for this graph, Navionics or Lakemaster? I fish all North Texas lakes to include Fork. TIA.

If you had to choose just 1? I can’t afford both of them at the moment.

I have an 1198 and have both cards. Guess if I had to choose, I'd pick the Lake Master because you can adjust the depth for low water. Check the lakes on both of them to see if they both have the lakes you fish (I know Fork is on both). Some of the smaller lakes are not.

You can buy lakemaster and then get the navionics app for your phone. But as far as detail and accuracy for the lakes I fish, I prefer navionics.lakemaster has some good features but I would rather have the better accuracy and detail of the lake

Compare the data for each and see which ones offers you the best detail and accuracy for the areas you fish, before spending the money. Both are great tools and each has its strengths, but one may outshine the other in just the areas or parts of the lakes you fish...start by checking the Navionics Webapp, they average 20,000 updates per week for lakes all over, so be sure to toggle the button in the bottom left of the app to turn on the sonar chart layer.
