I was thinking about a trip over to LOP this weekend and was wondering if the crappie are still out in the open water and deep.....or have they started staging for the spawn? I don't need specifics at all, just wondering if the Armada of boats are sill chasing them in the winter pattern. Thanks.

The fish and every boat you can think of is still in the open water at pines.

They are scattered all over the place and there are plenty of good concentrations as well. You can catch them drifting or off of piles near the river channel. I went yesterday and everyone I saw was catching fish.

Do you guys have better fishing in morning or evening on the pines this time of year. Always go early but thinking bout slipping over there in the evening tomorrow! Last Saturday me an brother caught our 50 in hour an half. It’s definitely on fire over there.

Yes. 27-20ft. Bigger fish are hanging around 23-20ft.
