1/16 or 1/8. If you are fishing under a slip cork or jig/bobber, then 1/16 is plenty. If you are fishing vertical in heavy cover along creek banks, etc, then I usually fish 1/8 because it can be easier to get out of a limb if you get hung up.

It all comes down to how, where you are fishing, wind, current and the list goes on. For me, I generally use a 1/16oz jig when I am fishing less that 10-15ft. Anything more than that or if there is some wind or current, I will use a 1/8th oz. There are just so many instances where one is better than the other but as a general rule, you always want to fish with the lightest jig you can and still have contact with it while you are fishing it.

Bank fishing usually means pretty shallow water. I would use 1/16 oz 95% of the time.

Ok, Ill play...when I walk the bank, I typically fish 1/32, 1/64, or 1/48 with a number 6 or smaller hook...and one of Belindas lil frys. On a really windy day, I will use a 1/16 with a #4 hook and may switch to that tadpole thing they sell. And if you want to come walk a bank with me,send me a PM...if you want me to come walk a bank with you, send me a PM...basically, it is personal preference..as long as you can fish what you use, and can figure good spots to drop a jig, you can be successful...its the time on the bank that counts...in really heavy brush, I sometimes use a 1/16 with a small hook...I most always use Braid when walking a bank.
