if you are not familiar with the slot you may need a littler practice measuring your bass.
I've seen it many times where anglers bring in their "bass of a lifetime" and end with a ticket and DQ's for the day because it was in the slot.
Slot: 16 to 24 inches. And know how to properly measure the fish when you catch it. I see at least one Goober every year that brings a Slot Fish to the scale thinking it is an OVER because he used a cloth tape measure held at the nose of the fish and went up and over to get the wrong length.

keep your head on a swivel, esp where the boat lanes intersect... stay far behind other boats when running, they might shut down unexpectedly and be sure no one is behind you if you do. have fun. Listen to this man! He witnessed a HORRIFIC boating accident a couple years ago at this event that could have easily been avoided. Sadly one of the men in the accident did not make it home after the tournament.

Hey All, I'm going to fish this years BBS on lake fork in September. This will be my wife and I first time to fish it and look forward to it. I'm not asking for any spots or secrets, I'm just asking for any pointers like that may help some first timers out. ( I realize its only February, but were really curious) Thanks! Sent ya a PM

Surprised that nobody mentioned to wear your crash helmet even after you stop.

Do they allow trailering? Yes. You can put in anywhere on the lake.
