When I engage spot lock it will work and hold position for 1-3 minutes ( almost no wind) then it beeps and shuts off.
The first day I installed it this did not happen. It held position perfectly in moderate wind.
Today I had the issue.
Nothing has been changed or moved.
Any ideas?

Did you try re calibrating it?
Where is your heading sensor installed at? Is it next to any sources of electromagnetic interference? IE trolling motor battery cables

I had the same issue, it would shut off when turning to the right. I found two things to solve this:
1) I had the control cable bent too tight coming out of the foot pedal.
2) There were a few wires below the foot pedal so it hit them when the toe dropped to turn right.
SpotLock is extremely sensitive to any obstruction and will immediately disengage when encountering any resistance, however slight it may be. Hope that helps.

Thanks for this info.
I will check the foot pedal.
What's strange is that it worked last week when I installed it and tested it. Today was only the second time to use it and I had the issue.
CrazynoTtt, is the calibration you refer to where you go in a circle?
I just had a thought. I replaced one battery since last week so I had both batteries disconnected.
Do I need to recalibrate because I had the batteries disconnected?

yes the calibration is the driving in circles and the heading off set.
I wouldn't think replacing a battery would cause you the need to re calibrate. I know a lot of people use battery shut off's, I don't think they calibrate every time they go fishing.

I forgot that I also had the built in the Sonar cable twisted around the coiled power cable to the head instead of routed in the middle of the coils which caused another source of resistance.

is minn kota live chat a joke??
I keep seeing "we are unable to chat with you at this time"
For what an Ultrex costs they should be available 24/7.
(just me venting!!)
