I know many of you will remember Jerry’s very generous giveaway recently. I was the fortunate recipient of the Dorado bag. It is not just a tackle bag. It is so large and well built it could be used for a long weekend for tackle, clothes, and 2 or 3 days of rations!
Jerry has one of the best jigs I have ever used. I am a double offering jigger and use his Grease Bath and Old School www.jigginjerry.com as the top jig and Lane Palmers www.constantpursuitoutfitters.com plastics as the bottom jig on my 7 ft & 8 ft G-Rod and President vertical jiggers. When you see his jigs first hand you will see how the colors are so bright and coordinated they jump out at you like they do to an ambushing impulsive Crappie.
If you go to www.jigginjerry.com and read his “about” page you will see why he is so dedicated to a quality product and an all around good guy.
Daddy’s influence.
Found out I had seen his Dad on the old school show, Anglers Choice, and read his articles in Honey Hole magazine.
Thanks Jerry for the bag and quality jigs.

You know you are a fishaholic if you have more rods than your wife has shoes!

Gamblinman, Are you talking about Jerry’s Dad? If not, when did Jerry make the change? LOL

He makes some awesome hand ties...first time I went and fished with him...he had some Paty colored looking jigs and just wore me out with them, that is till I bummed a few from him and had him explain the typical bite pattern (his lake)...afterwards, I was able to save some face...not much, but some...and make no mistake, he will drop a jig in a hole you just vacated and catch the fish he knows is there!!!

He gave me some free jig heads that didn't make his cut. I still use them to this day with my plastics and appreciated his kindness back then.

If I ever run out of jigs. he and a few other trusted makers I know on here and who's jigs I've used are the only ones who get my biz.

I appreciate the support, gents!

I've finally received my new laptop and as soon as I get a chance to reply to the comments on my giveaway, I will....just trying to get caught up on computer work and orders at the same time.

I understand, if my jigs seem like they're high priced to you. To be honest, I don't blame you for thinking that. If you don't mind, perhaps I can help educate you on this (not just you, sir, but MANY people).

I pay all the taxes a state and federally compliant baitmaker is supposed to pay. I don't lie and evade taxes, I don't claim that I'm tying jigs for friends, I don't sell my wholesale material illegally and perhaps these types of practices have given the community the wrong impression about what REAL LEGAL PRICES should look like. Not counting what a man turns in on his business at the end of the year (which cost me just over $3,300 last year - in addition to what I paid throughout the year), he's also legally bound to pay 8.25% state sales tax as well as 10% on ALL SALES quarterly. Anyone who sales materials from wholesale companies is bound to his contract and agrees that he will not break down materials and repackage them. Anything different is a breach of contract and bold face lie to most companies (this isn't hearsay, I have accounts with these companies and do business with them often). Additionally, many of the wholesalers require a FORTY PERCENT markup on all consumer packs! When I say I can look at your prices and know whether you're paying taxes, I mean it genuinely, not sarcastically.

This will explain a little better: What it means to be LEGAL in the fishing industy...

Hope everyone is fishing more than me!

Some drive Cadillac's, some drive Subaru's.

Thank God we live in a country where we have the option.

I want a t-shirt that reads...Jerry’s Jigs...taxed to death, but worth every penny! 2cents
