I have heard some things about this park and decided to try it out with the fly rod today to just test around. If anybody knows anything good about what kind of fish there are in those ponds and which body of water to hit please PM me or say here. Appreciate it y’all.

I'd love to learn more about that park as well.

I went there once, for bass, and didn't even get a bite. I saw a group pulling cats out every few minutes.

I know for certain that bass over 4 pounds and catfish over 12 have been caught out of those ponds....but not very often.

Alright, I'll spill the beans. I've personally caught catfish there up to 8lb and personally seen friends/family catch 4lb bass, ~7lb drum and ~19lb carp. The place is absolutely filled with turtles and ducks, and they can and will complicate things quite a bit. I've caught more than my share of turtles, a snake or two, and a duck. The entire thing is shallow. I've heard rumors that the bass all hang out in the middle (not sure how true that is), but I have heard - and believe - that bass can get up to 8lb there.

Nice to meet you too! I actually was only there for a few before work, but did pretty well. Thread coming soon in the Rough Fish forum.

Yea smile I report in at 10AM, over by 121 and N. Coppell Drive. The only thing is leaving early enough, lol.
I'm usually 20 to 30 minutes early, but any earlier...well 8am traffic on 121 no way. 7am ok.
There is a white Ford STX truck at work someone has a nice Yak carrier on Aluminum racks. Don't know who they are.

It can be tough there, the big bass that I've caught from there have all come from live Bluegill.
