I've caught plenty. I am strictly catch and release. I wouldn't kill one just to have it mounted. When will someone make a replica for gar like they do for all the other fish? So all you need would be a photo and measurements

Just like many of the big bass I do, some gar are just not going to make it. BUT, some are bow kills. I think the alligator gar need some regulation. Don�t forget the passenger pigeon. They are so unique, I respect them for all that. There are many molders that sell alligator gar replicas. They are very pricy!!

Only because I had molded the crappie and it was free to me. I did have a big bluegill and didn�t want to �waste� it on a gar mount. I didn�t charge the customer for it either. I�ve never found anything in gar stomachs but what appeared to be carp or buffalo.

Don't know, never asked. I got just what you see. I've done them from 5'+ to 7'+. But unless someone tells me when they bring one, it doesn't matter to me when I'm just doing the shoulder mounts.
