I use 40 at the smallest. 30 starts to dig into itself on the spool at this weight for me. Casting and being unaware of line dug in on spool can be quite the shock.

#30 on all my baitcasters. Our local Acadamy is now carrying the Gliss line. Really like that stuff. Have it on four of my baitcasters and as soon as the Power Pro braid is ready to change out on the others I will go with the Gliss.
Man that Gliss stuff is worse than Nano-slip aka Nanofil. It would break for no reason. Glad you had luck with it I could not. Reviews on TW on the stuff suggest I am by far not the only one who has had it break on a cast or hook set, or sometimes just start falling apart for no particular reason. It works fine for me. Actually, I've never had a problem with either Gliss or Nanofil. Of course Nanofil was designed for spinning reels so that is the only place I use it. Tie fluoro leader from 18" to 40 feet on with an FG or blood know. I don't use them all the time as I use braid on casting and spinning but I like the Gliss for things that need casting performance --- I do need to change it once more often than braid (I have some braid I have fished for 5 years but probably change the Gliss about every 8-10 days of use).

Once it digs in, trying to cast becomes a pain due to it kept hanging up mid cast. I would have to completely unwind it after getting back home.
