were you in 40 50 ft. of water or did you catch them 40 or 50 ft deep?

This year has been 35 on the bottom.

When targeting/catching deep water crappie are y'all fishing structure, fish under bait, or just marked fish on sonar? Or a combination? Thanks.

Winter crappie are usually associated with bait in open water more than they are associated with brush piles and other structure, that being said, it�s often the case that bottom contours like drop offs and humps will concentrate fish.
