Its been a while since I've been on the water. I was thinking about getting the boat out today and heading to Lavon. What kind of pattern are the crappie on these days? Seems I remember Lavon being pretty good this time of year. TIA for the discussion.

Lavon sucks. Fish are deep by the dam, good luck getting them to bite.

Caught 21 yesterday in a couple hours. 34' was working for me, but there were boats scattered everywhere and fish were being caught at lots of different depths it seemed. Fish were just cruising around following bait. I just watched my graph, at times there wouldn't be a darn thing on it and obviously wouldn't catch anything, but then a bait ball would move by and sure enough the fish would be right there with them. I'd pick 3 or 4 fish out of each school and then they'd move on. Can you cruise around with your trolling motor and try to stay on fish, but it will drive you crazy. Just find an area with lots of bait and sit there, they'll come to you.
