I know there are better lakes in the area but I was curious as to if anyone has fished Medina recently. If so, are they way out in 30-40 foot of water? I'm thinking about running out there next week. Thanks in advance

There are Sunday (I believe) morning tournaments out there. I believe they're out of Joe's Place. I usually read the results on FaceBook and they are less than pleasing to say the least. You can contact rickmb on here. He can tell you all about it and he fishes there quite a bit. I'm sure he can point you in the right direction.

I haven't been there in almost 2 years, so I'm of no help. Sorry

Best of luck to you.

You can catch a lot of fish on the lake, they are all just 12”, you will see a occasional big fish caught but it is becoming a rare thing for sure. They have the Sunday morning tournaments usually every other Sunday and there is one this Sunday. It does get frustrating fishing tournaments there with the small fish but a fun lake to fish for fun because of the numbers

Last time I was there, after thanksgiving, it was already down about 12’. No telling where it’s at now.

Fished Medina about two weeks ago. Similar results as reported by DHolding......reasonably good numbers but all under 1.5 pounds. Caught in 8' to 15' deep.
WaterForTexas.Org shows lake currently about 17' below pool.

TexasTechBassAngler,
I have fished Medina recently and its fishing ok. Much better places in the area to fish in my opinion. Ive been catching GIANTS on LBJ recently with a chatterbait. Senko's at Decker have been pretty dirty as well. Hope this helps:)
