Just about everybody knows this year’s fishery on the Middle Texas Coast was probably the best we’ve seen in years. And, most folks know it takes a cold winter like the one we are experiencing to get the Trophy trout to really start to feed in big numbers. I believe this winter is going to be epic up and down the coast.

Whether you would like to book in Seadrift or Port Mansfield with me, here are my open dates for the next few months. Our Winter Discount ends February 28th, and the Port Mansfield Trophy Trout Package ends March 31st.

January: 8-12, 15-17, 29-31
February: 5-7, 14-16, 26-28
March: open

Here are some fish we have caught in 2017

At our local fishing club meeting here in Georgetown TX yesterday we were told of a huge Trout kill there at Seadrift reported by the guys son who was at the meeting, said they were dead fish by the thousands floating for acres there. You know anything about that

I spoke to a POC TPW game warden yesterday and he confirmed that indeed there was a big fish kill in the back lakes, Pringle in particular. He said he saw some 28/30" trout floating.

We went out Tuesday which was a boat ride. The winds blew a lot of water out and I had to get out and push my kenner over the sand bars that lead into the Army Hole. We found nothing in the Army Hole. Maybe its not as deep as it used to be.

fisherJack, I sent you a pm. I'd like to connect with you since I'm in the Gtn area.

We Did have a big trout kill in POC, but I will tell you the only place I have seen any dead trout was Pringle Lake. Yes Pringle had 75-100 dead trout in it, and I consider that lucky. for it to be confined to that one lake.

there are absolutely not thousands of fish dead floating for acres there, that is a horrible lie. I have spent 20 days on the water in each of December and January. Like i said in the above post, it was confined to Pringle from what I have seen.
