Mark, the Eagles defense was very good this season and the reason they beat the Falcons and Vikings. They held the Falcons to 10 and the Vikings to seven after they marched down the field and scored on the first drive. It's a QB game now - that's one of the many reasons the on-field product is so much worse than it used to be. It's become a game that's 80% about the coach & QB and 20% about the other 52 players. The Eagles lost their starting QB and MVP candidate, starting pro bowl OT and Darren Sproles, their return man and one of their best running backs, and have a head coach no one thinks shouldve gotten the job in the first place or would be more than a two year guy to develop Wentz. I suspecting youre saying that because you think the Pats will win another SB and you hate everything about the Patriots. To be clear, the Eagles won a terrible division, beat a mediocre Atlanta team, and then beat Case Keenum. And they're about to get beat by Belicek, Brady & company. So I guess what I'm saying is that I agree with your last sentence. I do hate teams that cheat and still succeed, and I hate the Brady has gotten so much of the credit for the success that is so clearly dependent upon Belicek. But it doesn't really matter - Tom is awesome and so is Bill. I don't think the Eagles have much of a chance of hanging with NE for 4 quarters. Just my opinion...worth what you paid for it. *Dropped 38 on the best defense in the league Dominated a terrible division until the MVP candidate QB was lost for the season. Earned a first round buy and home field advantage. They might lose to the Pats (Im realistic and think they will) but the rest of what I said in my first response doesnt fit the narrative of the other 52 players dont matter, does it? The Eagles played as a team all season, and so far have gotten it done.
