GE is too large and cumbersome to recover anytime in the near future. If you buy for a long term hold you will probably end up with a few spin off positions over the next few years. The only way to day trade this dog at this point in time is to short it. As previously mention many institutional investors are dumping GE right now. Wouldn't be surprised to see it end up in the mid single digits, and stay there for some time.

Netflix has been good since I bought 150 shares at 8.41 five years ago. Probably will sell a portion this year and move that money to dividend generating stocks, like GE.

Buy if you think management can get the company moving in the right direction so the stock price goes back up. I wouldn't buy it.

GE stock has performed terribly during one of the greatest bull markets in history. So much for a rising tide lifts all the boats. What do you think will happen to GE when the market finally heads south? Negative beta stock? I don't think so. Just a sad case of a once-great company that is dying a slow death due to awful leadership. And I suspect IBM is another example of this.

Huckleberry was talking about day trade on GE. Up 53 cents today from yesterday. Would have been some easy cash.

Had I bought yesterday I would be selling right about now. It's all down hill from here to the close today.
