for you guys who have a 360 do you leave it on the boat when in running down the lake and what do you do when you put the boat in storage?
I read you can disconnect but can not find any instructions, etc..

any help would be great, as I will have my 360 to install soon.

Yes it stays connected while on the lake. Mine is mounted on a Ulterra so I had to buy a special mount that someone made to make it work. It's a little bit of a PIA to put on and remove so mine stays on all the time. Which trolling motor are you mounting it on? Here's a link to the 360. Click on the video and you will see how easy it is to put on. You'll have 2 cables. One is the ethernet cord that would go to your FF or your 5 port hub if you have everything linked together. the other is a power cord. You would have to unscrew the ethernet cord. The power cable would need to put some type of connector on it to unplug it. Watch the first video in the link.

If you are buying the ultrex mounted 360 this video will show you how it is mounted and you'd have to remove 3 bolts on it and the cables as I described.

The first option I described might take you 3 minutes to remove and the ultrex maybe 5. Mine is stored at my house so I'm not too worried about security of it. Once you see it, it is self explanatory on how to do it.

Mine stays on all the time unless I am at a motel for the night.
The original model is easily removed IF you are not anal about cable management. It has a 8' power cord and a 8' Ethernet cord. Both of those have to be connected with a 6' power cable and a Ethernet cable (comes with a 20' Ethernet cable). Both have easily disconnected plugs, just have to keep those accessible.

Have not seen the Ultrex model, but if the cable connections are the same, the only difference is the quick disconnect clamp with the original one and three bolts to loosen with the Ultrex version.

I have two 360 power cables on my boat, one for when I use the outboard and the other when I fish electric-only waters. I use two different batteries depending on the waters I fish.
I also use either a 20' Ethernet cable or 2' Ethernet cable depending on if I want to share data between displays.

Requires two allan bolts to remove the 360 Ultrex and then you have the cables to contend with Like Wayne mentioned.

No, you loosen the three bolts that hold the two mount parts together, so you can slide them apart (slotted) and that does not affect the orientation/height adjustment.

Page 15 and 16 in the manual.

Never would consider removing it, if someone wants it that bad let them have it. I got enough zip ties on it to keep them busy for a while.

Anything on the boat that I worry about thieves getting I use these. Buy the size you need for the bolt you are replacing.

I just believe in making theft difficult.
