Howdy everyone, I’m really dying to have a nice fish fry full of crappie. I have no boat, so I’m stuck on the bank. Any of y’all know of good spots near the Lewisville/Carrollton area that has some nice crappie?

seen people fishing under 35 bridge casting towards pillars and retrieving slowly. You will have to walk to get under the bridge. if you don't mind standing on rocks and loosing a few jigs you might pull some out of there. early morning might be your best bet. Good luck.

Appreciate it y’all. Anybody else know of any spots? I’ve tried to stay away from the barge due to the constant fishing pressure it gets 24/7, and I REALLY wanna fish the boat slips on the marinas but that’s a no-go haha.

Get a gang together and rent a slip... Won't be much longer until crappie are shallow all over north Texas and some are in the creeks right now
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Don't forget about the feeder creeks that lead into lakes Lewisville and Grapevine. If I were you I'd get on foot and start walking the creeks. look for lay downs, log jambs, stumps sticking up, etc. Toss a bobber with a minnow or jig 2-4 feet underneath into the thick stuff. Your going to lose a ton of hooks/weights/bobbers but that method will work for you from now till about April or so if your on foot.
