Anyone used them fishing. If so did how did you like them?

They came highly recommended from someone whose opinion I value but they did not work for me. Warm and dry but too bulky.

work great for fishing-----waterproof but thin enough to feel strikes.....
when it's really cold,I take one of those thin toe warmers and put it on inside of glove so it is against back of your hand and put another one in the palm of the glove.....toe warmers are thin enough so that it doesn't affect handling of the rod or reel and it really helps keep your hands warm...

i have a couple pairs, when it is really cold they are good. its rarely cold enough down here to justify wearing them, i have used them [while fishing] 3-4 times in the last 10 years or so. But when you need 'em they work well.

edit: I will add, i bought one pair a size smaller than my hand, and those are the ones i usually wear for fishing; its a PITA to get them on/off, but they're skin-tight which helps with sensitivity while fishing. The other pair i will wear first thing in the morning getting the boat ready and on runs but take them off when its time to fish. I wear them more often.

There are several models, the ones I bought in hopes of staying warm and feeling a light winter time bite just didn't work out for me. I cut the cuffs off and use them around the house on wet chores, work great for that thumb, I've had them for a looooong time, there may be newer and improved versions now..

I almost posted this same thing earlier. I tried them years ago but just didnt like the bulk and lack of dexterity. New ones must be an improvement.

There were multiple models when i bought. Pretty sure i bought the thinnest ones.
Having said that it has to be in the low teens before i will consider wearing gloves while i am fishing.

I've not used the gloves but I have used the socks. They work pretty well!
