I�m fixing to slink in my truck and head that way. Never fished a PP lake period. I assume the goal is to fish closest to the plant where the water is warmest? What baits should I chunk? Fish shallow or deep? And any navigating tips? Thanks in advance for any tips

Hey Chris. Easy to navigate. If you put in the main ramp, (southern most ramp) you basically have 2 main creeks with timber. Coming out from the ramp you have Big Brown creek to your left and timber starts a little bit past end of courtesy dock . If you go right looking out from ramp and go down past the swim beach and point and turn right that's little brown creek and timber starts about 20 yards in past the point. Other than that use common sense and your good.

Getting keepers at FF has been a little tough. You can catch small fish flipping the grass around the edge with a texas rigged craw. Lots of fish in the hot water outlet cove. You will find fish in that cove from the grass around the edge all the way out to deeper water in the middle of the cove. If you fish up by the barrier you will find the midddle to be very shallow. There is deeper water on either side. Focus on the deeper water with a carolina rig baby brush hog or a worm that has a good bit of action like a Berkley power worm. I know some have had success fishing crank baits around the rocks but I have not personally been able to replicate that pattern.

As far as navigation goes, its easy. Main lake is clear of any obstruction. The south end just past the main boat ramp has lots of timber in spots. Better to idle anything south of the ramp. You can catch lots of fish in the timber but very few keepers up there lately.

Also if you go into discharge cove there is a big sandbar that is out in front of discharge.

Out from main ramp and stright across the lake . The cove is on the right side and you will see the marker bouyes. watch for sand bar in front of the hot water chanel.

Just FYI - if you fish the outlet don't tie up or even drop you trolling motor over that cable - the GW will probably write you a ticket.

I truely appreciate all the feedback. I only had about 3 hours to spend and I spent some time looking around since I�ve never been. No fish, no smoke from stacks either. I hope to go back when I have more time.. appreciate all the pms and posts

One unit is offline but will be back online Sunday night. Both units will run till February 12. Then Brown is done. Smoke out of stack doesn't indicate we aren't running. You really only see smoke on cold days or if we are having problems.

Anybody been lately. Current water temps?
