I never have seen the show except one episode and was not I pressed with the scripted reality show. The writers have to invent some crises every week. Like wrestling, its fake.

Like the show, couple episodes back they showed Todd Hoffman�s son hunter�s girlfriend, pretty gal but I�m not buying it, something tells me that boy drives a ridge line and just scared to tell his religious family.. just a observation..

I started to watch gold mining in remote Austrailia. The narrator made a big deal about how remote and how the miners had to be prepared for any emergency because help was far away.
A man and lady had to move their camp including a large trenches. I turned it off when the man lost the key and this well prepared ready for anything only had one key. Guess they thought a spare was not needed. Stupid.

I can't believe anyone truly thinks that show ain't staged and surely most know none of it is real.

Todd has lost way more money than they ever mined. Every year each operation gets bigger and bigger with more overhead. Seems like they would be happy running a small crew and making plenty of money for all of them without constantly needing to find more ground.

Yep, Fred said the show got in the way of real gold mining. I met him up in Minot when I was working up there.

And now, Fred is back on with his own show. Gold Rush - White Water. And has Todd as an investor.
