Looking at images on Google of crappie jigs, I noted something peculiar. Some bodies are placed on the jig with the "belly" pointing toward the inside of jig and some bodies are placed with the "belly" pointing away from the inside of the jig. I've always place the "belly" pointing away from the inside. How about you? Have you ever tried both methods or just stick to one?
On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?
The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Think about how the fish sees it...they look up at your jig. Put it on with whatever color they want facing down so thats what they see. They go after a dying bait quite well...just saying.

I have hooked the jig bodies any and every way possible. I'll bring the hook through the side to give it a slower fall.

Belly out, or down. On some bait with "flapper tails" (Bonehead brush glider, Yum Wooly Beaver), you can turn it either way... vertical or horizontal.

I have always assumed it was supposed to be lighter color on bottom like most fish are colored on two toned baits.
