I'm going Feb 18 - 25. No matter the weather. Good fish to be found no matter when you can get down there.

Just in time for the Bass Champs tournament Feb 10.
Gonna take 38-40 pounds to win that tournament

Yes sir! Gonna take a big bag this year. Hopefully I'll be the one to bring in that 40 pound bag!

I actually saw my shadow a few minutes ago! It is 54 degrees as I Type.. After three days not out of the thirties, and cloudy and drizzle and just plain nasty.. Water temps this afternoon at about 54-55..

Supposed to be in the seventies tomorrow and upper seventies on Sunday.. Not sure how long it will take the fish to wake up after the cool down.. Last Sunday and Monday were good fishing.. This [censored] will surely have slowed them down.. But I believe that a lot of fish are committed.. They are still in the same neighborhoods..

We'll know more in a couple of days..

Water warmed to 61 degrees in the backs of some pockets on north end of lake yesterday.. Only caught a handful of fish yesterday afternoon in Salado.. People did much better down south..

Fish we caught were fat slobs.. Not giants.. Just fat..

Few more days of warm and it should be really good..

See Yall then!

Been every time of the year for past 20 years and May/June without question. My personal best of 13.42 was on June 2. Many 30#+ five sacks.

March thru May is hard to go wrong. Anytime before March and a big front could ruin your trip.
