Thinking about going this weekend to possum kingdom will the warmer temps affect them much?

Only very, very shallow.

Yeah, I was heading to Fayette County Saturday until I saw the yak tournament being there. Heading to old faithful Conroe instead. I can't recall Conroe being 45 degrees in quite some time so hopefully I can find a bite.

If it's sunny, rocky banks up shallow but if the wind is blowing 17 to 20 mph like there forecasting you will have to find somewhere the wind isn't keeping it stirred up or the wave action and cold water being pushed up will keep the rocks from warming up

Water won't be much warmer but air temp will be nicer. I bet Rayburn is low 40's maybe even upper 30's in places. Need some sun

I'm seeing mostly cloudy. So the temp may say it's not going to be to bad but on the lake it will still be pretty cold.

My limited experience tells me I can catch fish below a temp of 40 if temp is rising but have always struggled below 44 when temp is dropping.

Don't forget the rain in the AM either should scare off the weekend crowds.
