Oh I'll be out for sure. My comment earlier was more about not having water this cold the last several years. This time last year water temps were in low 60's already.

I'd fish both I could..but will likely have to help family move into a new house on Saturday. So I'll Gore-Tex up on Sunday and head to Fairfield.

Will be there with the bass club on Sunday as well. Two big ol sumbitches in a blue/red/silver Phoenix. Good luck!

Ha obviously not that much ice but I can only imagine what temps got to. Last Saturday we fished in 43 degree water. Going to be a big shad die off. The blessing in this is that it should really knock back all the salvania

Its been awhile since I have seen Toledo or Rayburn frozen like that. Gonna have to report this to Al Gore I'm sure he has a scientific explanation. LOL

One day of warm weather won't make much, if any, difference. If you go, do remember to dress for 40 degree weather, because once you get away from shore or if you're fishing a windy bank, the air temperature is going to be close to the temperature of the water.

I'm headed out to Ray Bob for a few hours this afternoon. Let's see what she'll give up.

I never look at the high's because it is the low temps that make a difference. It would take quite a while of the low temps to get up to really make a difference to the water temps. But fish eat year round and I will be out Saturday trying to make a couple bite. Then again I don't have to even get a bite to not have fun bass fishing and trying to figure out what to do to catch a fish.

I may go to the slip and try to catch some crappie but I am out on the bass for now, when the water gets to above 50 my interest starts rising.
