I beg to differ with ya Tom. I would bet you could whack em this weekend.

I just don't want 'em to go since I can't go.......not fair.

Jerk Jerk, count to 10, Jerk Jerk Jerk, count to 10....

if I dont end up at Fairfield Saturday I'll have an open seat on my boat at Grapevine Okie if you can handle fishing with 2 Australian Shepherds. cheers

I love dogs, dude, and I like to see your dogs in the boat. Just wished my 15yr old Golden was agile enough to go. Just too old. Can't go this weekend but we need to get out and jerk around sometime soon.

If you wait till that temp, you'll have a heat stroke! grin

How did the transducer mount go?

Went great, and those people in Alabama are the best. I don't see any way I'll mount a transducer any other way. I was over at Fun N Sun last weekend and happen to check how the mounted their transducer. Mounted right under the middle of the jack plate and to the glass. If I bought a boat from them they would have to mount it to the jack plate, it's the right thing to do.

Those guys in Alabama? Im looking at new finders. How did you mount yours? Aftermarket shield to the jack plate? And how did you mount transducer to new TM? Thanks.

Big Girls will have their backs out of the water "sunning"

Throw a frog in 40-45 degree water and you'll get bit

For those of you who think bass won't bite when the water is in the 40's you're missing out. When I lived in Kansas we would fish as soon as the ice melted off the ramps in early March, sometimes sooner depending how harsh the winter was. Never caught many in 40 degree water but have caught some of the biggest one then.

You say that maybe as a joke but the weekend after that big cold spell we watched a guy throwing a popper in a couple feet of water. FYI, he didn't catch anything that we saw but we didn't watch long

I bought the bracket and shield from Transducer Shield & Saver in Wetumpka Al. Mounted it to my jack plate and it works great and easy to install. The lady that answered the phone ( yep a real person ) knew exactly the parts I needed after I answered a few questions. She even had the bracket and shield already put together when it arrived. If/when I get a side/down scan for the trolling motor I'll buy the same thing from them. Only way to go.

if you are concerned about the weather....stay home.

The nicer temps will come at the expense of howling winds Saturday.....and rain Sunday.

I'd fish both I could..but will likely have to help family move into a new house on Saturday. So I'll Gore-Tex up on Sunday and head to Fairfield.

Eat. Sleep. Fish.
