Nice lenahorse!

Just finished a road trip to Waco and back in my Ecodiesel. Averaged 33.2 mpg on the trip computer. Trip computer for the entire tank (including a bunch of commuting and errands) ended at 31.2 mpg. Hand-calculated mpg on the tank when I filled up this morning was 30.7 mpg. Pretty silly for a half ton truck that can tow a travel trailer also.

Went to LA 2 weekends ago. Just the wife and myself luggage and a 125 quart yeti. 85 miles per hour to LA and back 25 mpg.

Went to choke this weekend 100% towing 15.8 mpg at 70 mph.

These Rams seem to be head and shoulders ahead of the rest of the market in fuel efficiency.

Its been awhile but 2500 Dodge Cummins on a long trip to Alabama. 767 miles before I put diesel in it and a little under 24 mpg. That was driving to Saraland, picking up an outboard and then driving back along the coast and filling up somewhere north of New Orleans.
Driving the boat on the highway has always been right around 17. I can do 18 if I kept it around 65. The boat is light, around 2200 pounds on the trailer.

A customer just got back from a 6000 mile trip pulling his 8800 pound travel trailer from here to Oregon. It was a three week vacation. When I asked if he got around 8 mpg towing he said no, he got 13 to 14. Obviously did not know or care to check. That was a 5.7 Ram.

Do the new Ecodiesels all sell at a premium now? I looked and a decently equipped truck 4 wheel drive runs close to 50 grand and some go well above that, or am I missing something. I paid 26.7 for my 2000 but all trucks were cheaper back then.

Mine is a 2015 and I paid 35k pre ttl for it. Crew cab 4x4. It is a tradesman, but has the next step up radio, aluminum wheels, all power, uconnect hands free, chrome package, backup camera, limited slip rear end, and integrated trailer brake, so its not stripped really.

Update on 17 Ram 4x4 hemi mileage both hand and computer computed avg of both
towing CC boat speed limits 13.7 both city and highway
all highway no towing 22.7 -- did better with cruise control on high 23's
combined in town roads here and high way no towing speed limits, 21.7

No problems at all with truck. 12000+ miles now, one of the best riding trucks I have ever been in. 4x4 good also.

I got stuck in a DRY flat pasture on hay straw and took 4x4 high to get out! That straw was slick!

I have a 2017 ram 4x4 11000 miles so far. Havent got over 15mpg yet, just got back from falcon pulling my buddies z21 average mpg 6.7 . I get 7.2 pulling my basscat cougar. Filled up 4 times in 500 miles . Thinking of trading it in for a Diesel my 15 ram got about the same. I do pull 70-75 mph

Good night. What rear end do you have? That seems to make a huge difference since Ram offers such a wide variety with the Hemi motor.

I assume you have the Hemi 5.7L?
