You might check with the Tip top Prop show south of Kingston....564-3712. I didn't know about the skeg repair, but the county SAR unit used to use them for prop repairs and they always did good work.

Try these, i have heard good things. There was a thread earlier this year on it as well and some posters said they had these and liked them.

I have looked into them when trying to find ways to make my lower unit less of a liability. This is likely the way I will go if my skeg ever ends up damaged.

I looked at those. Figured if I was going to spend $100 for that, I might as well pay $200 to get it fixed right.

Definitely have someone do it that's done it a lot! Make sure the lower unit oil is drained and replaced and the seals checked after they weld it up.

Is it bent out broken? Mine was bent when I bought it but it never effected the handling so I just left it alone.

Mine is broken and then previous owner ground it down. I spoke to a local boat shop and they recommended a local machinist. I called him and he said he would use his own aluminum and has done hundreds of them. $45
