Been with Ron Speed twice on El Salto/ Picachos combo. Lodging, food and drinks were great. Good rods, boats and guides. My only criticism is the cost of transportation between airport and lodges.

1bassdaddy...Thanks for your forum feedback. When did you go with us and who specifically was the guide? First time on Salto? I don't believe that you communicated the issue with us since your trip, so I'd like to discuss your inputs directly, if you are so inclined. Please give me a shout. 480 491 9300 Thanks for fishing with us amigo, and sorry about the guide disappointment. Seems like you still did pretty well despite that. Fishing is still fishing...even at El Salto.
To others with interest... We have a large and recently boosted inventory of rods in various brands, lengths, and actions. Round trip transportation is always included from Mazatlan or Culiacan. Special requests and arrangements accepted. We are running a great Father/Mother/Son/Daughter Spring Break Special for the month of March at El Salto.
Give me a call anytime for information and the latest reports from our lodges on El Salto and Lake Baccarac (which is currently on fire!)
Thanks and best regards to all... [/b]

I have been with Ron Speed twice. Once at El Salto and once to Comedero. Nothing but positive from both trips. Food was good, lodging was better than I anticipated in Mexico, and equipment was up to par. I have heard good things about Angler's Inn as well. My uncle has been there too and nothing but positive for either camp.

I would certainly like to "compare" the fish camp services ........ anyone from Ron Speeds or Doug King Pro Bass Adventures want to offer me a deal to come down and compare their services to The Angler's Inn ?

I've been to numerous fishing lodges from Texas to Florida to Brazil to Venezuela and 6 different lodges in Mexico. Anglers Inn at El Salto has BY FAR the best service and food of any of them. At Anglers Inn, do you fish the same day you get to camp or do you start fishing the next day?

....Angler's Inn starts you fishing when YOU WANT to GO ...... go immediately from the van to the boat..... get some lunch first...... drink 7 Margaritas first .... drink some Cervesa first take a nap ...... go fishing until dark ........ when you get out of the van coming from the airport tell them what you want to do & they will do it. the SERVICE is 1st Class.

Here's the honest numbers comparison of the available lodges for 4 nights/e days fishing at El Salto. Anglers Inn is $1995 with transportation to/from airport included (AnglersInn.com). Ron Speed is $1595, however you pay approx. $90 for trans, plus you pay for 2 meals and 1 night in Mazatln which brings total cost to $1650-1700 (RonSpeedAdvantures.com). ProBass is $1495 which includes trans and all 4 nights (mexicofishing.net). Salto lodge is $1074 which includes trans and all 4 nights (bigbassfishingmexico.com).
