Since Winter has finally arrived to the Midwest, I did some research and discovered some information that gave me some interesting ideas to add to my videos.

The GoPro Hero 5 Black can record telemetry data for GPS information, speed, elevation, distance, etc. Over all there are 68 different pieces of information with each time stamp.

The Lowrance HDS can record waypoints, trails and side imaging scans. When you record a trail, the data collected consist of GPS coordinates, speed, depth and water temp with a time stamp. This information can be export to a GPX file that you can view on your computer. With this info is what got my mind to wonder what I could add to my videos.

Using the the data files from both, I used Dashware to create some screen overlays to add to the my video. I think this is the first video I have seen on the topic of fishing and using the software Dashware. I have seen lots of videos on the use of drones, car and bicycling racing/riding using this software.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!!

Way above my head, barely can read side scan, lol. Would make a good video though.

I do have a plan of creating a side scan video using the data from the SL2 file to add overlays to it.

Thanks for the comment!
