i refer to the Farmers Almanac for planting dates for root crops/onions for days to PLANT...

i plant as soon as i can get my onions...Dixondale Farms ships the 1st Monday in November...

they have the Texas Legends variety...get your local feed store to order from them

I like 1015s (yellow) and creole (red). Trying Texas Legends for the first time this year. Dixondales Web site has good info on growing onions.
