As a kid in the late 70s and 80s where was the flu shots..why we need them now ..

My Granny was getting the flu and pneumonia shots in the 80's. I don't think they were advertised like they are now.

We had to get flu shots in the AF. Still used a live virus.

I never heard of a flu shot in the early 80s maybe only gave it to old people

I remember when President Ford came on national TV urging everyone to get a flu shot. I think this was in 1976 or'77.

It is estimated that up to 35,000 die a year from the flu. It makes no sense at all not to get the yearly flu shot.

Had one flu shot in 1987. It's worked wonders so far. Gave me the chills and chits for 2 days though.

I had to get in those lines in the late 70's, Bob. Lined up for literally 1/2 mile, doctors on both sides, a needle in each arm. Some guys would take two steps after the shots and pass smooth out. Having to watch that and then it's your turn, wondering if you were going to pass out or not lol.
