They've been catching whites at lakeside ramp at yegua park... The point extends out to the buoy marker... Just a helpful hint.

I just got done absolutely tearing up the channel cats and buffalo from the dam riprap on the welch park side. Caught them all on CJ's monster punch bait. The bait wouldn't stay in the water more than 30 seconds without a bite. I caught them under a cork next to the reeds and on bottom just as far as I could throw out. All the channels but two were over 18". Biggest buffalo had to have went nearly 30 lbs.

Love when things come together as planned. Arrived at the lake yesterday around 430pm. Ran and graphed few humps and caught few whitebass. Got warmed up and ran to catch the days targets, hybrids Just like always, they were staged and feeding on shad. This hole has produced good fish each trip there. All fish caught on top waters, 2 limit of hybrid and handful of whites.

Any good crappie reports at overlook marina? Headed there Sunday morning dark and early. Hoping to get a hot spot before it crowds up

Awesome, that looks like some real fun. Makes me want to get in the kayak and go chasing hybrids on the lake. Fly rod and big popper ought to work well too. Looks like they were coming up from 10 feet down to take a top water bait, if I read the graph properly. You've developed a good pattern, well done

Back in the 80's we caught hybrids that size up Yegua during the white bass run. Does anyone catch them now during the run. Just curious because they were a blast. Maybe the entrance is too silted in from ya'lls reports for them to up the creek.

Ben and I tried Jardelle late in the season, after a flood, in hopes of finding them. He too had caught them after a flood late in the run before. Neither of us caught a hybrid the entire run in the creeks, just below the dam.

Don't get no better than this. My boy caught his first hybrid on his own. We bout lost few rods, lost few fish but we got enough to call it a day. Proud dad moment

He started at 5am with "dad I just want to go find crappie". Lol I had to plead and convince him hybrids are exciting and fun to catch. Well after the 3rd one he was done! Lol. He said his arms hurt, so we caught few whitebass and called it a day before the wind picked up and made lake to rough for him to enjoy the day.
All in all, was a fantastic morning out

Started out waiting on the Hybrids to turn on... With this wind we couldn't find any schooling fish. So we caught these green trash fish all day.

Went to overlook marina yesterday, wife caught her 1st keeper crappie ever, I managed 1 keeper, we each had 3 throw backs. Buddy we met up there managed 7, he was working the boat slips, I was kept in 1 area due to wife not wanting to take fish off hook or put minnows on hook. But at least she got her first crappie and a few throw backs.
Said hey to J-Mo when he came walking out there. Then he went in search of some Bluegill. You find any J-Mo?
