...Dean Stroman. Dean guided on lake Fork for many years.

Please say a prayer for him, and his family in their time of loss.

That sucks man. Dean was a great guy and would talk to me all the time from his dock. He's truly gonna be missed.
Prayers sent to his family and friends.

Prayers for his family. Dean was a great fisherman.
Always willing to help you out.
He caught a lot of huge bass out of Fork.
He taught me how to fish the white jig back in the day.
After that its all I wanted to throw. Thanks Dean

I'm selfishly heart broken that he's gone and for not having called him in the last 2 months when I knew I should have. Dean was a amazing man, husband, father and fisherman. I've have so many memories of him in the boat and out. He introduced me to Seth's, I was in his boat with my cousin for my first and only DD and he once gave me a 5 gal bucket filled with old lures that were just hanging in his famous boathouse on Fork. Those lures, some pretty valuable, all now sit in a shadow box in my lake house. We had countless days on the water where I was happy because we were having so much fun talking thrash when the fishing sucked but he was angry because as he said, he didn't like fishing...he liked catching.

Not sure how many SAL's he ended up with in his boat but I know of at least 3 and probably 2 more that weren't turned in. His mastery of Lake Fork's massive amount of underwater bridges was second to none.

Thought I would add a few more photos of him here. Good Bless you Dean. I miss you already.

That day with him wearing the Hawaiian shirt, we were trolling DD22's during the heat of the day to take a break from the heat. Nothing like that feeling when an 8 pounder hammers a DD22 going 4 mph.

Chris, do you know the date of the Hawaiian shirt, photo? The last time I saw Dean in person was on the east side of the lake and he was wearing that same shirt and hat. Summer, two years ago, I believe.
