Used to go to the Brazos and Granbury as a kid, used to catch fish from the bank and docks by the dam in the summer..... Considering a winter trip there soon and am curious if fish hold in the deep water by the dam, in that 1-1 1/2 mile stretch leading up to the dam? We just have a 2 man pond hopper (still has DI/SI) so distance is limited and don't want to take the trip for nothing. Thanks for any info in advance!

Lots of small fish schooled in deeper water in the area you referred to. Birds can help on some days. See my recent post where the heading starts "Stripers are on".
