I’ve noticed this throughout the years, for some reason I believe the tires sit and rott somewhere before installation This^^^^^ I had a flat on my year old boat trailer and location of the nail was in a place not able to repair. Day tried to find this particular tire and found out they weren't manufactured for two years prior.

What do you mean it gets worse for Hankook, Toyo, etc? We call them "china bombs". Been mixing, developing, testing, selling rubber for 25 years. Gotcha.

I go Michelin on all my personal vehicles. They cost a tad more, but the payback is outstanding in value Michelins are great street tires but even their ATs are a street tire. I need more tread for the places I go.
