anyone ran one of these? I have one coming for my Johnson 90hp. I originally had an aluminum 19p and wanted to go stainless so grabbed a powertech 4 blade and lost 3mph on top end and holeshot was great on both. I wanted to get my top end back so went back with a 3blade SS, but 17p. Its a ballistic prop and was curious on reviews or opinions on these props.

The only difference is all my other props were 13.25 diameter and this one is 13.5.

thanks

rpm with 19p aluminum was hitting about 5400 @45.2mph

rpm with 17p 4 blade stainless was about 5200 @42.5-43mph

hole shot on both was almost instant...this boat is only 16.2ft long.

so now I have a ballistic 13.5x17p stainless. So .25 larger on diameter and 17p

Ive read in a couple places that they are similar to Rakers in performance.

the ballistic xp is actually a modified raker blade. geometry wise. i used to work them
on the raker pitch blocks.
the standard ballistic was the same geometry as the laser II.

with proper tuning they are actually pretty fast props.
