This past week has been awesome down in Chauvin Louisiana. Redfish bite is on fire during the winter. Check us out online to book a custom trip for your crew. www.redfishcharterco.com

Really refreshing to see guides that practice catch and release and not just pour limits out on the dock.

Really refreshing to see guides that practice catch and release and not just pour limits out on the dock. Limits are set to preserve the species. Consumption is legal. Maybe you should take up frisbee golf or skateboarding.

Really refreshing to see guides that practice catch and release and not just pour limits out on the dock. It's not the guides dumping limits on the docks you should worry about. It's the good ole back bayou boys that limit out before 9am, then head back out for an afternoon limit too. Happens far too often. Guides have a reputation and lifestyle that is dependent on a healthy ecosystem. I believe the majority fish responsibly.

Some of my clients do want to fish catch and release and it’s up to them. I’m not sure I understand what exactly you’re (FWT) trying to say here, but my family has been fishing commercially for 3 generations. Redfish are very good to eat and certainly none go to waste.

You’re exactly right Kurt. I would never fish over the limit.

It's a public forum, so we get a few ignorant comments. Just ignore them or hit the moderator alert if they are offensive. Great photos and happy clients!

Really refreshing to see guides that practice catch and release and not just pour limits out on the dock. Don't blame the guide, I never met a guide that forced me to keep fish. that is the clients decision. Every catch and released trip I have made , the guide was delighted. MO

What the hell is wrong with eating a tasty redfish or keeping your limit if your clients are hungry.
I keep every fish I can and eat well all year long. Never keep a fish after a limit is in the well.
