NO ROOF!

The ball goes farther the hotter it is! 76 degrees in an AC cooled stadium in July in Texas is NOT how god meant baseball to be played!

Terrible. Agree with Butch

I thought their argument for a new stadium was to improve chances of signing free agent pitchers.

Pitchers do not want a screaming low bounding hit off of artificial turf heading straight towards them.

first off it is really bad in the current stadium in the shade and just unbearable in the sun so I understand wanting a cover. but how is turf going to bring in free agents? no one likes to play on it.

The Astrodome was originally grass until it died off from being enclosed. It doesnt work so AstroTurf was born. You could see a green film at the top of the dome from the grass experiment. Retractable and grass will grow, not enclosed.

Is it too late to just put a retractable on their beautiful existing stadium?
I know they said that option was cost prohibitive, but I don't believe a word they say

Atlanta successfully completed this option in under six months or so. If Atlanta can do it, I know we can; and do it better.

6 months? That was a band new stadium that took several years to build.

Im all for the roof and turf. I love me some AC, cold beers and not having to sweat my nuts off next to some 350lb lardo choking down lemon freezes, chili cheese fries, and no bite hot dogs.

Grass do grow until they painted the glass roof because the players complained about the sun in their eyes. Go figure!

They require AC.

That is not baseball. The whole thing is kind of a joke. Its baseball, its summer, yeah its hot... Get over it.

How many games per year do you attend in 100 plus degree heat indexes? I hit probably 5-6 a year during the hottest of the hot months and I personally can't wait for a roof and AC.
