When fishing a jig,is there an advantage to using pork as a trailer or is it a matter of preference?Thank You for your time and help!

Pork is much better but plastics offer more colors. in the end the fish will let you know which one they want. but I would like to see pork trailers make a come back.

I’ve had way more success with plastic even in cold water. Pork for me has not been very successful.

With the newer plastic trailers that are much more flexible, life like, I don't think there's that much difference. The older stiffer plastics back in the day didn't have the right movement or feel. The texture is the only thing I think makes a pork rind better. I don't think you get more bites, but I think they hold it longer.
