I must say, Striper fishing is a blast. A few friends and I went with Roger Brown at Striper Express on Texoma Jan. 6th. and he did an outstanding job. The bite was tough for most folks that day but Roger managed to find and keep us on fish. I will certainly be back as soon as I can. It was also neat to see how all the guides and local anglers worked together to put people on fish. Even if they weren't with the same outfit. If someone got on fish, they immediately called others on the water to let them know what they had found. It was something that surprised me but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've never seen that since I've always just fished for largemouth.

That was my first trip to Texoma and my first experience Striper fishing. Roger and the rest of the Striper Express team made it an awesome experience and a trip I will continue to make from now on.

Sounds like a good time. Nothing better than a double digit Striper peeling the line off the reel.

I learned pretty quick dead sticking wasn't my thing. I was the one on the front of the boat casting for most of the day. The regular size split-tail flukes on a smaller jig head drug across the bottom was how I caught all mine. When Roger was cleaning our fish, we noticed all the shad they had eaten were pretty small which explained why the smaller flukes did the trick.

And here is Andrew with the day's biggest catch. Nice fish that we threw back.

We didn't weigh the big one but Roger guessed he was around 13 lbs.
