I figured the bite would be on after the cold spell and and 3-4 warmer days with sun to follow but I got skunked. Fished in the Lake Park/Tower Bay area with a jig, C riged senko, blade bait, and drop shot (which I probably didnt throw enough). Water temps were 42-46.

Has anyone else had luck out there lately?

deep jerkbait over by the crappie barn all those big rocks has been the deal for me since it has been really cold.

Yeah I was targeting that area but must not have offered what they were looking for. It gets up to 40 or so feet over there, right? How deep are you getting with the jerk bait?

I threw a jerk along that bank by that barge and went north towards that main point. No bites. Threw an A-rig around the barge and didnt get a bite.

I was also there Friday and got skunked but the week before I managed a 19.5 lbs limit. I still think Friday was too close to that cold snap. It was in the 20s during the day Mon-Tue and was still bitterly cold at night until Friday rolled around. It should be better fishing now. Still winter fishing but better fishing.

If you can't find em wind em.

Yea, I was out there on Saturday for 3 hours, 1 bite all day on the rip rap in tower bay on an a-rig. 2 days before christmas I had a 20lb bag all on sq bills, and then went out on Christmas day ( 2 days!!!) and couldn't get one.

I think that's just what the fish are like in that lake.

I throw right up on the brank and work it off a ways then make another cast I think alot of the fish are suspended. I have also done well throwing rattle traps and burning them off the rocks in that area heck even won a few tournaments doing that if you can weed through the spotted bass.
