Has anyone had any experience with the Lowrance Hook? I am considering the
Hook2-9 combo, that allows Navionics also. Any thoughts if you have used one would be appreciated.
I wondered if the map that comes on the unit is comparable to the Navionics, etc.
Thanks

Hook2-9 is good stand alone unit. I would still consider running the Navionics mapping card in it, just because one mapping may show more on one lake then the other.

Thanks As far as the mapping goes, you can check out the Navionics webapp and see the latest and greatest mapping available from them for free. Be sure to toggle the button in the bottom left hand corner to activate the Sonar Chart layer. By looking at this, it will allow you to make a comparison between the 2 on the areas you fish to see which is best for you before you spend money. Check it out: https://webapp.navionics.com/#boating@6&key=omvvDnjx%7DP
