Nice fish. Which location did you catch them at?

Thanks for the comments. I caught 2 or 3 big females on Saturday. The first I have caught this year. On 1/5/18 I caught 23 and 19 on the 1/6/18 but they were all males. About 1/3 of them were undersized.
I caught these close to Irwin bridge. I walked into Newman's Bottom twice but I have not had any luck. Both times I fished there was in the morning though. I just haven't had any luck in the mornings. The best I have done in the mornings has been 6, all males, and all close to Irwin bridge. Crappie fishing has been very slow for everyone I talked to as well.
We could sure use a good 5 inch rain.

Took the boat up the Yegua yesterday afternoon. The fishing was slow but the creek was beautiful. Water is very clear with almost no flow until you get all the way up to Newman's Bottom. Did not make it to Nails, But would think the water would be clear with very little if any flow. Ended the day only catching and releasing about a dozen small black bass. Had a relaxing afternoon on the water!

We hiked from the bridge at Newman upstream a ways...water low and clear. Hiked downstream from bridge over 2 miles looking for better water, but then it started pouring and we cut our loses and went back to camp. Need a big rain to get it going this year!

I fished at Irwin bridge today for a few hrs and did not catch any whites or any other fish No one else was was having much luck either. Tried downstream from the cedar creek bridge to try and catch some bream and largemouths. Struck out there too. Fished under the highway 36 bridge and further upstream and had no luck. I expected the white bass fishing to be slow but a little surprised I didnt catch any other fish. Hopefully others had luck today?

I don't think the White Bass will move up the creek without some type of monumental rain event. Everybody do a rain dance.

Yes it does take a good rise in the creeks and lake to get the whitebass, crappie and shad moving in mass up into the creeks. The lower end of the Yegua does hold a good number of resident crappie and black bass in wet years like the last three in a row. A big rain event anytime from January through April will lead to the mass migration of whitebass and crappie.
