Man those are hauling. Wonder how many of those went to jail. I was told once anything double the speed limit, or over 100, is a trip straight to jail. Those #1, & #2 spots were 100 over the limit.

Be curious to see a top 20 list of the most expensive traffic citations given.

Getting a car up above 160 is one thing, getting back down before a curve or some other problem is another,......

There's one not on there.... I know of 180 in a 55 around Tawakoni in 2017. Not sure why or how, but the grand jury threw out the speeding and evading tickets. Mabey that's why it didn't make the list?

Thats a very common misconception and is not true. You cannot be arrested for speeding in Texas no matter what your speed.

Our guys got one at 153 in a 65 on a Yamaha R6. He couldn't believe he couldn't shake the car. He ran, and he also claimed that he didn't know that evading in a vehicle is a felony or that he needed a motorcycle endorsement. Right..... He was one of those chuckleheads who GoPro their pursuits and post them on Youtube; he never imagined that he would actually get caught. The county seized his bike, too. He actually had the camera mounted on his helmet so it read the speedometer the whole time.

Unless things have changed, bikes are limited at 186 mph, but I think that can be defeated with a little work. I was a little surprised that there werent any approaching 200mph on some of the open stretches of highway. I assume the radar will read that high.

Jim, you are right. GoPro has contributed to a lot of guys going above their level of competence in a lot of things.

Correct, but you can be arrested for reckless driving.

Yes, but speed alone does not justify reckless driving. My point was simply that many people think speeding above a certain limit will get you arrested. Ive heard for decades that if you double the speed limit its reckless driving and you go to jail and other variations of that. That is incorrect.
