Trying to pick a day this week to go to PK and fish. I can go Wednesday or Friday, but not both. Which day would you pick based on the weather forecast? Friday looks like more comfortable fishing weather, but cold and nasty Wednesday could be a great day for striper fishing.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.....

And the day I dont go to PK I am going Crappie fishing at my local lake.

What are your thoughts on this very serious matter?

Fish the cold rainy day if its not to windy.
Bluebird days after a cold front are normally slow.
One hard and fast rule of Striper fishing is that fishing is best when you dont want to be out there.

Yes, Cold, cloudy, and wet are they best days for striper.

It is still pretty wet up here in Wichita and my boat has a nice layer of ice on it so I think I am going to play it safe and go Friday.

Im just not that mad at em anymore. I went Christmas Day and launched in 21 degrees. Caught a few decent fish. Took all afternoon to warm up. hammer

Going Friday as well, but launching late in the morning. Not gonna get in a hurry at all.

Just roll the dice! I may hit PK as well later this week. Im good for a day or two, Twok was kinda mean to us today. Two sandies, four blues, three Hybrids, and a striper all on flukes. I think my toes are just now thawed out.

Kerry I am with you. I decided I am not mad enough at them to weather the cold tomorrow. They will probably be jumping in the boat, but I will leave them for some other brave soul.

Hope Friday stays overcast as forecasted.

Launch @ 10 , find the bait, you will find the fish. Mid-lake and north. May have to pull some out of the tops of trees, but that is fun with the right electronics ! 30-38 FOW

Randy: That's what I hate about stripers. They are active when all I want to do is sit by the fire and stay warm.

If you go New years eve, take some pics. I look forward to reading your report and looking at them huddled by the fire. I think Sunday is the worst day. With that wind your are sure to get wet. Nothing will magnify misery than wet and cold. White caps should be petty large in Broadway.

If any of the guides are out in this with customers... somebody sure needs to fork over a big tip!

PK, can you pass on a link to the weather forecast you showed? I've been using NOAA, and it misses the baro.
